About the Author:
Kij Johnson writes speculative and experimental fiction and has won the Hugo, Nebula, and World Fantasy Awards, among others. She also writes and edits gaming materials and teaches creative writing, novel idea generation, and science fiction and fantasy lit. She was the associate director of the Gunn Center for the Study of Science Fiction and the Ad Astra Center for Science Fiction and the Speculative Imagination, both at the University of Kansas; now she assists with the nonprofit Ad Astra Institute, exploring the intersection of speculative fiction, STEM fields, and creativity.
